Casale Hortensiae is easily accessible from all major cities and airports in Italy.
BY TRAIN: Orte is less than one hour away from Rome. Trains leave from Termini and Tiburtina stations almost every hour. Please check the Trenitalia website for more details. Transport from and to the station can be organized at a cost of 10€ each way. Alternatively, there are taxis at the station (15€ one way).
BY PLANE: Both of Rome's airports are well connected to Termini station, just a 45-minute train ride from Orte.
From Fiumicino airport: take the fast train (Leonardo Express) to Termini and change to a local train to Orte. Alternatively, there are trains running directly to Orte but these are not as frequent. Please check the Trenitalia website for more details.
From Ciampino airport: A bus to Termini station, operated by Terravision, leaves from a stop just outside the departure side of the terminal.
BY CAR:
Exit the A1 (Milan-Naples) motorway at Orte. Turn left in the direction of Orte-Viterbo. Take the "superstrada" route E45 in the direction of Viterbo. Take the first exit indicating Orte-Bassano in Teverina. Turn right (Orte direction) and after 700m turn left at the sign "Terme di Orte" (Orte Thermal Spa/Swimming-pool). Follow the road downhill till the swimming-pool. Leave the swimming-pool on your left and take the little road in front of you, than turn left uphill after 100m. After 600m uphill, pass a first house on the left surrounded by a vineyard. We are the second house on the left, with a wooden gate. Welcome at Casale Hortensiae.
